Production Blog: Update on our situation

Image
We have officially came back from Spring Break and this is our first Blog since. To update you on our situation I will give a recap. As stated in many of our other planning blogs and our timeline, we stated we were going to get all filming done by spring break. We spoke to each other regularly about our project during the break and kept each other updated. We all planned to meet the first Saturday and I woke up extremely early to start prepping for filming. I did not want to be a weak link for my teammates and I wanted to get to our first location ( the park) early. While I was getting ready, I noticed I got a text message from the group chat with me, Glenna, and Perla. This group chat has lately become very active because our main source of communication is an app called Discord which we have all mentioned before. The text message stated that Perla and her siblings were feeling a bit ill and her mom said we should reschedule. I was not angry whatsoever and I hoped she felt better...

Production Blog :Finalization

Image
We have been working hard to finalize our film and work effectively and efficiently. Even though there are some struggles we are going to finish and make it work! Things are falling into place and is on track to be a great project!    I hope we pass and get a good grade because we put a lot of time and effort into this project

PRODUCTION BLOG: COSTUMES

Image
As my group and I stated in the two previous blogs, we have not started our filming process yet.  Our time span for filming will be next week for the week of our Spring Break. This is when we will all clear our schedules and meet up at our locations. I have been working on my editing more and trying to find ways to be more of an asset to my team. I have seen progress but I am not as efficient as I would like to be.       Constantly doing these blogs I have ran out of things to write about. I have even had to ask my friends what are we going to talk about in our blogs. Everything seems  repetitive now since we have  been working individually on the same project. Also, not starting the filming process and working on other factors plays a part as well.      Glenna has been working manager like  lately and has been doing an awesome job. She contacted the places we will be filming at. She has been regulating o...

Media Production Blog 2

Image
Media Blog For our production blogs we have been taking steps to finalize our project before filming. As I have stated in the previous blogs we are working on getting permission for the music. In the media I included it showed the software that my group mate Glenna was exploring and finding a way for us to receive free music. Today got an email granting us the permission to use the music from the artist. I was very happy seeing this news because it. puts us. in the right direction. The time (spring break) that we are going to take to film is coming up very soon. Everything that we have planned and been put in place has been moving forward, which is going us great progress. As for our members individually we are all on task and prepping for our filming and editing. For editing, I am working on skills to be more at an asset to the team. I have been looking at tutorials and doing some personal experimenting. For this upcoming spring where we have to meet each other ad film, we will be taki...

Pre-Filming and Editing Blog

Image
This week started and my group mates  and I went on Discord to throw some ideas around and come up with a plan. We all explained the things we had to do and tried to make a schedule that would work for all of us. We did this then, continued to work on our individual parts in the group project. We communicated and finalized that the we would film over the time span of spring break.  Our groups current mission is attaining music. We all talked about it and tried to find the best possibly way to get it. Glee a was put in charge of that aspect and has been working on that aspect of the project currently. She has reached out to several artist to receive their permission and finding other alternatives.  She has decided we are using the On the Free Music Archive website. She reached out to a couple of artist on the website and emailed them now waiting for a response.  Hopefully everything will be finalized by this weekend and t is smooth sailing. We will be adjusting ...

Final Task: Planning Storyboard

Image
This is the Storyboard of the movie FANTASIA CAN DO IT! This story board is created by Glenna Mae Tomboc, who is working with Perlinda Caceres and Nikaliyah Barnett. The storyboard contains a total of ten handwritten pages with pictures and text, printed on a template given by our instructor.        In the beginning part of the movie it shows the reality of a family that seems to be perfect but is not. This action is symbolized by a glass picture fame with the mother and daughter shattering. Some key points that are illustrated in this storyboard are the transition from a doll to a live action unicorn. The process of the unicorn hiding, the pan angle capturing a time lapse. Another key factor in this story board is page 7 when they make up and talk about their feelings.  The unicorns mission to go see the little girl in the car, the kidnapping done by the the character "candy kidnapper" played  by Nikaliyah Barnett. The luring...

Final Task : Title Blog

Image
For our Title blog, Glenna will be making the titles for our movie. She will be using her own font that she created that is from her own handwriting. For the movie title name, she will handwrite that in calligraphy.      The font will be in what she named "JuvinMae" which is the font displayed below.     The contract won't be too low. We plan to make the text white so that it is able to be seen on the screen. We do not plan to lower the opacity or make it anything other than white.     The spacing and the tracking between lines are normal-sized, in our opinion. It is not too spaced out or too close to each other which makes it legible to the watcher.     We are set on the title for our film. We are naming it, "Fantasia Can Do It!". It is based on the unicorn plushie's name, Fantasia. It is also based on our planning for the movie, where we conceptualized the character as looks to be a hindrance but becomes very helpful to everyone in th...
