Production Blog: Update on our situation
We have officially came back from Spring Break and this is our first Blog since. To update you on our situation I will give a recap. As stated in many of our other planning blogs and our timeline, we stated we were going to get all filming done by spring break. We spoke to each other regularly about our project during the break and kept each other updated. We all planned to meet the first Saturday and I woke up extremely early to start prepping for filming. I did not want to be a weak link for my teammates and I wanted to get to our first location ( the park) early. While I was getting ready, I noticed I got a text message from the group chat with me, Glenna, and Perla. This group chat has lately become very active because our main source of communication is an app called Discord which we have all mentioned before. The text message stated that Perla and her siblings were feeling a bit ill and her mom said we should reschedule. I was not angry whatsoever and I hoped she felt better so we could film the following days, preferably Saturday. We all kept in minimal contact the next few days because, it was break and we knew we had a school responsibility but wanted to enjoy our time off. Glenna also took it upon herself to order her unicorn costume that I mentioned last blog, in this time of Amazon. Perla updated us that all her family except her mother has caught the Covid -19 virus. I saw her message a couple hours later and wished her and her family a full recovery. I really hope that they are fine and well isolated. I am also very glad that Perla's mom took that precaution of us meeting before. If we had met, all of us would have been exposed and all three of our families would have been at risk. We will now be looking into different solutions and trying to get this project finished as soon as possible. I think we will either have to use my siblings as extras or try and get some other people to be in our film, but right now we are in a very stressful situation. This is in no way Perla's fault and I genuinely hope that we can all pass and they all get better soon.
