Genre Research( Comedy and Drama)


 The two other genres that our group decided to work on are Comedy and Drama. All our members watch dramas and express our love for them especially Korean ones. They are entertaining and very comforting. Same thing for Comedy as well. Yes, in drama there tends to be a lot of expressed emotions involved. Or plentiful twists and turns that go on. But what makes a Comedy and Comedy besides funny jokes? So, we furthered my research for both Drama and Comedy. We can get a stronger sense of Comedy and get a better idea of what makes up a Comedic movie. 

Comedy  

Common camera angles Track Common Mis-En-Scene Costumes, Stage, Props Common Editing Cutting, Superimposition, Eyeline Match, and Long Take Common Sounds Diegetic, Non-diegetic, Dialogue, Direct Address, and Voiceover.  

Example films Crowds New Age, Shazam What elements of the genre that you like? I like how lighting comes into play when someone makes a joke. What elements of the genre do not appeal to you? I do not really enjoy movies that are in the comedy genre because I do not have the humor that the directors have. 

Drama 

 Common camera angles Establishing Shot, Long Shot, Wide Shot, Aerial Shot, High/Low Angles, Tracking Shot, and Steadicam Common Mis-En-Scene Outside environment, High Key Lighting, Props, Costumes Common Editing Cutting, Eyeline Match, Action Match, Crosscutting, Slow Motion, Common sound Diegetic, Non-diegetic, Dialogue, Sound mix, and Ambient Sound 

 Example films five feet apart, After, the sun is also a star What elements of the genre that you like? The dramatic emphasis in a fight, or car chase. Especially the angles- shows everything. What elements of the genre do not appeal to you? I love the excitement and thrills of dramas they keep me on my toes and keep me engaged and my partners feel the same as well.

 For our Title blog, Glenna will be making the titles for our movie. She will be using her own font that she created that is from her own handwriting. For the movie title name, she will handwrite that in calligraphy.      The font will be in what she named "JuvinMae" which is the font displayed below.     The contract won't be too low. Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2009)

 The movie I've chosen for this blog is Pokemon Detective Pikachu. I've chosen it from the Art of the Title website.  Titles displayed during this sequence were all the names of the movie's producers. Roles that developed this movie included the director, creator of the story, producers, executive producers, director of photography, production designer, film editors, music producers, and so much more. The names of the Pokemon characters were displayed as well, except that the names are displayed in the Japanese language. Prioritized images would include the Pokemon characters, the design, the movie logo, etc. These images represent the most popular characters of the Pokemon universe. Although I haven't watched the movie, I feel as if these shown characters are the ones that are going to be shown more in the movie. PRODUCTION BLOG: UPDATING OUR PLANS

     Hello,  this is our 2nd blog since we have come back from spring break and nothing much has changed. Me and Glenna have been working out what we are going to do in terms of filming because Perla still has covid.       We still need to film and finish the assignment even with this obstacle. We have changed almost everything because of functionality. We were going to film at Perla's house but now it is being changed to mine. The original problem about filming at my house, is that we just moved in and it's a construction zone. Glenna and my mom said that it will do for now since its our only option. We found some places( a school and park) that is closer to my house so that everything is in the vicinity of my house. We are planning to do a two day filming system and fit as many scenes in as we can. Working on finding extras for our film is a lot more difficult than I anticipated.
