Hello, my name is Nikaliyah Barnett, I am a sophomore at Fort Lauderdale High. I was born in Kingston, Jamaica and lived there for 8 years until moving to America. My goal in life is to be my version of success. For all people success comes in many different forms. What success means to me is to have a steady job that I can support myself and be happy. I plan on continuing my studies at Stanford, if they accept me. 

I am taking AICE Media Studies to further my chances of receiving an AICE Diploma. Also. I really enjoy the production of films, so taking tis class will help and change the way I watch movies. The movies that I enjoy are AXL, Just Mercy, Dennis the Menace and many more. With Covid-19  present we are not able to go to the theaters at this current moment. Therefore, I watch movies on Netflix, Disney+, Hulu and Amazon video. They are a great substitute but I love the feeling of being in a theater.

The terms that we learnt from pass assignments has helped me recognize some movie structures. I have never edited anything before, so that was an exciting experience. In the first quarter I learned a lot about filming and editing and now I have that skill. This class has helped me to be more self-reliant and patient. The environment that this class provides  is very focus and mind bending and that helps me be more productive. The time that is given to work on the assignment helps me to just sit there and get the job done. I have had a few difficulties in the past with the assignments sending but I have been resilient and kept thriving. This relates to a Tardigrades, even though the creature is extremely ugly it survives through almost everything and keeps on pushing.

 For our Title blog, Glenna will be making the titles for our movie. She will be using her own font that she created that is from her own handwriting. For the movie title name, she will handwrite that in calligraphy.      The font will be in what she named "JuvinMae" which is the font displayed below.     The contract won't be too low. We plan to make the text white so that it is able to be seen on the screen. We do not plan to lower the opacity or make it anything other than white.     The spacing and the tracking between lines are normal-sized, in our opinion.  The movie I've chosen for this blog is Pokemon Detective Pikachu. I've chosen it from the Art of the Title website.  Titles displayed during this sequence were all the names of the movie's producers. Roles that developed this movie included the director, creator of the story, producers, executive producers, director of photography, production designer, film editors, music producers, and so much more. The names of the Pokemon characters were displayed as well, except that the names are displayed in the Japanese language. Prioritized images would include the Pokemon characters, the design, the movie logo, etc. These images represent the most popular characters of the Pokemon universe. PRODUCTION BLOG: UPDATING OUR PLANS

     Hello,  this is our 2nd blog since we have come back from spring break and nothing much has changed. Me and Glenna have been working out what we are going to do in terms of filming because Perla still has covid.       We still need to film and finish the assignment even with this obstacle. We have changed almost everything because of functionality. We were going to film at Perla's house but now it is being changed to mine. The original problem about filming at my house, is that we just moved in and it's a construction zone. Glenna and my mom said that it will do for now since its our only option. We found some places( a school and park) that is closer to my house so that everything is in the vicinity of my house. We are planning to do a two day filming system and fit as many scenes in as we can. Working on finding extras for our film is a lot more difficult than I anticipated.
